Stereoviews of
E.& H. T. Anthony and Company
Founded in 1862, E. &
H. T. Anthony was one of the largest and most important photographic
image suppliers and equipment manufacturers in America. In 1901
Anthony merged
with the Scoville Co. to form ANSCO, which, in 1928 joined with
the German company, Agfa.
Ansco cameras were still manufactured up until 1990.
The stereoviews presented here were published in c. 1865 by E. & H. T.
Anthony, but,
as is quite typical, the actual photographer is anonymous.
