CONCENTRATION CURL
This
delightful bronze entitled "Concentration Curl" depicts a
teenaged lad (the artist's son) pumping iron. It is cast in an
edition of three of which this is number three. The base, made of marble
on walnut, measures
5 x 7 inches; the sculpture's overall height is 8.1 inches. The
front brass plaque reads "Concentration Curl, Dennis Reinke."
It is also signed in the bronze (on the top of the bench) "© Reinke
1988 3/3."
Reinke is an American
artist, working mostly in watercolor and oil paintings, but occasionally
in bronze. His exquisite "touch," visible in this sculpture, is a
hallmark of all of his work.
